This way of doing can give us the illusion of being energetic and active, but it is the best way to not learn from one’s mistakes, repeat them and nourish the dissatisfaction of every experience made which, then, makes us throw into a new experience.

There are many different ways to grow and an infinite number of lessons to learn in life.

But there are some types of growth that come to us only if we are willing to stop, pause and let us learn a lesson from what has been done up to that point.

Investigation – ask questions, dig into the situation, and find out exactly what happened, both good and bad.

Incubation – incubate what you have discovered, think about it and see what you can learn.

Ignition – after studying and incubating an idea or an experience, you need to take advantage of the lighting and ideas that come to you to understand the points to be improved.

Illustration – your ideas born from enlightenment are just basic skeletons. Start thinking about an action plan to implement what you have learned.

Good questions are the heart of reflection

Successful people ask themselves the best questions and, consequently, get the best answers.

If your questions are honest, they will lead you to solid convictions. If you ask quality questions, they will help you create a high quality life.

What you want to achieve in life and where you are now on your way will determine which areas you need to think about today, adapting the questions above to yourself and your current situation.

But the most important thing you need to do is give answers to these questions.

Why? Because you will discover that, what you think after writing the answer is different from what you thought before writing it. Writing helps, you discover what you really know, think and believe.

All of this probably sounds like lots of steps to take and a lot of problems to solve. It’s true! But this is why most people never do it.

In reality, stopping and reflecting is all the more crucial the more one goes in the path of personal growth.
