You may need some utensil that helps you make your own pots with recycled newspapers, or planting lines so that the seeds and plants are sown well aligned. Pots, planters, shovels, pruning shears and many other tools or accessories that make our lives a little easier in the garden. If you don’t need it, maybe someone close to you does. We share some gardening gifts for you.
In the case that you are thinking of making a gift, then I give you a few ideas of gardening objects that these days are wrapped as a gift and, although they will soon have some land, they will not be less valuable.
Best gardening gifts
I love the idea of a simple kit that allows us to make pots with resistant and biodegradable recycled newspapers, as many as we need.
A rule that helps us to make the holes for the sowing of seeds is a whole invention, as is the practical planting line, made with FSC certified wood (Forest Stewardship Council) and 20 meters of natural jute thread, which allows us to delimit the plantation framework. By the way, if the seeds are safe in paper envelopes and, in turn, well organized in a filing cabinet, the task will be even simpler. There we have another possible gift.
If you are one of those who always loses the small, but essential garden accessories (string, plant labels, small scissors to pinch, a pencil or marker pen, etc.) a briefcase that contains everything needed for small garden work is a good idea, because it allows us to have those objects always at hand.
We don’t have to lack hand tools. If it is a gift, it is a good idea to think of those tools with wooden handles. The ones I show have waxed beech handles, brass bushings, and stainless steel heads. It may be more original to choose somewhat less usual tools, such as shovels that allow us to collect the right amount of substrate for each pot without spilling it everywhere.
Pruning shears, including precision scissors, can be a gift that we can consider as well. For those who are interested in the art of the topiary, it is not a bad idea to think of topiary shears with the leather handle, which are warm and very comfortable.
Of course, a decorative pot is always a welcome gift, especially at this time, where the gardening activity takes on more prominence inside the home or, for the lucky ones, in the greenhouses and sheds. Let us not forget that it is always good to have a small watering can that allows us to carefully water the succulent plants and others that we grow indoors in small pots. The important thing is that more water is spent than the plant needs.
Maybe the objects I have shown do not fit what you need, but I hope, at least, they will help inspire you, in case you are thinking of making a gift to a person who loves gardening. At this point, it should not be necessary to remember that we should not give away without a ton or son. The negative impact that consumerism generates in the environment is not a novelty and, therefore, we know that the culture of consumption does not fit in a garden that defends sustainability. It is true that gifts are always well received, but if they are also useful, they are double appreciated.
